  1. I like the revised floor plan and look forward to seeing the corresponding south elevation and roofing schedule.

  2. Bert just pointed the difficulty in moving bulky items such as furniture into the basement with the current location of the interior stairway to the basement absent any other access such as a bulkhead.

  3. Just found your blog. I'm looking for designs that incorporate an entry space before you actually walk into a room. It doesn't have to be large, but a foyer, or even a "mud room" type space where people entering the home have enough space to stand beside the door take off a coat and shoes comfortably before entering the main living area. The is a must have in my idea of the home of my dreams.

  4. Agree w/ Marcella's point. Consider making a perpendicular knee wall to seperate entry from living space. This could include a built in bench, shoe storage, and maybe even wall hooks for a few overcoats. In addition, consider swapping main bath location and laundry so washroom users don't need to cross paths with laundry (plus I think it adds main floor storage opportunities.
